Colonoscopy

My next question:  Has anyone had a colonoscopy and how did you take the medication that you needed before the procedure.

My husband had one recently and he sis not have that much to drink. I was surprised how little it was. I am going for an appointment soon about having one and will make sure the doctor knows I had wls

I am two years post-op RNY.  I had a colonoscopy in January 2014.  You buy the stuff at the drug store.  It only needed to be mixed with a cup of water.  Then I drank it, waited the 4 hours and drank the second concoction. 

Is that the medication that you are referring to?

My pre-appointment outlined what to stop taking or what to continue with.  I had to stop taking iron supplements for a week before and some other things as well.  Since my colonoscopy was at 7:30 a.m., by 9 a.m. I was sipping my protein shake and drinking my meds/vitamins.

The whole doesn't sound as complicated as I thought it would be.  I'm waiting for a call to go see the surgeon and I'll see what she/he say's.
