Congratulations!  How inspiring to me who is just about to have all my appointments on May 7 with nurse, social worker, dietician etc!  I get scared sometimes, but stories like yours keep me encouraged.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot nb!!!!

Thank god you got all your appointments on the same day. I did too. But I did hear of some people having to see them 1-2 appointments at a time which sounds soooo bad. They already make us wait for so long, which seems like forever! But it does go fast once you are done your appointments.

I look forward to seeing your progress soon!! You will rock it out!

Good Luck!

Wow you are such an inspiration!  I'm just starting out in the whole process,  I go for my info session on March 10th.  I'm so excited to get everything started.  I love reading about everyone's journey.  I can't wait until people get to read mine!

I've been looking for people to connect with to discuss the whole process. It seems like this is the right place!

Wow, you look great!   What was the date of your surgery?  I had RNY on August 14th of 2013 and I have lost about 84 pounds.  I feel so much better!  I was using a cane for about a year before my surgery to help me walk.  I gave it up 2 weeks after my surgery!!

I really need to take some pictures of my progress too.

Congratulations!

Hey thanks for replying and for the kind words of support!!

I had the RNY Gastric Bypass June 26th last year.

We have a lot in common because I used to have to use a walker to get around for a while before my surgery!! It was due to a botched back surgery in 2011 when I woke up and my legs were paralyzed. I have in all in my profile page...it is a loooooooooong story haha but the point is...... I also stopped using it after surgery!!! I have even travelled and did not need it to walk around the airport, city, or anywhere which I NEVER thought I would be able to again since I cannot feel my left leg!!

I realized that the weight was holding me down. Yes, I cannot feel my left leg. Well when there is 130lbs extra of weight it makes the balance in my muscles non-existent. I am sooooooo happy to be able to walk again freely!!

You know what I mean? hehehe

PLEASE TAKE PICS!! I looooooooove seeing progress pictures! it motivates me so much, which is why I do it also.
