Post-ops gone???
I am still around 😄
Love how I feel, so glad I had my RNY. A rough start after surgery, had a leak and four transfusions, but honestly, I really was ok.
Weight loss has really slowed now, cravings starting back, so now is the time to keep on the program, work the tool. I am a different person, totally. I go to the gym five days a week, I can't believe it but I do! I only do the treadmill and swim right now but its a far cry from 6 months ago when I still needed a cane for my disabilities in walking due to my cardiac arrest two years ago. I surprise myself when I walk without support, it's really incredible!
Follow your program, take advise from our vets here and have patience, its a journey for sure.

Hi to everyone out there in OH land. I'm a lurker most weeks and post on occassion. Had my surgery in September 2012 and am down to 162 as of this week. My experience has been very positive, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I've had a couple of incidents of the "foamies" and one full on dumping episode. Sometimes I feel like my blood sugar is off so I'm trying hard to make sure I get protein as required. At a year and a half out I'm facing the "demons" which we are told about by our veterans - and THANK YOU to all of those veterans who lead us through this process. (I've personally learned so much more here than in appointments with my center, and it's good to share with people who are going through the same issues!) Anyway - I constantly battle to make good decisions. Yesterday I was at Blue Mountain and the kids were all eating poutine ... I actually craved poutine and considered getting it! Imagine! I had soup and 1/2 a tuna wrap but it was a long conversation with myself to make that choice. So, as I said in my one year post "everything has changed, nothing has changed". Fight the good fight everyone. We CAN do this!
Cheers,
Sandy
