I definitely post waaaay less than I used to pre-op, or even right after my surgery. I am about 4 months post op. But I do still read quite a bit, and reply occasionally :) I have been doing great, except my vitamin levels are out of whack so in the process of getting that fixed. I have been losing incredibly slowly the last two months and was really frustrated, thinking it must be something I was doing, but was kind of happy to find out that I was doing things right, it was the vitamins that were causing so much trouble! Apparently B12 is super important for weight loss and if our levels are too low we'll stall out (or most people will, I guess) I have been taking 1000 mcg every day for about four days and suddenly the weight is falling off me again. I haven't changed anything else, so assuming that vitamin change has helped. I go for my 3 month check in at TWH today.

I think after surgery we all definitely get busy and start living life again, I know with all this weight gone opportunities are springing up for me left right and centre. Going back to school, getting a new job in a salon (after having to quit esthetics because of my weight, so nice to be back) all kinds of creative opportunities for photography which I love. I think that probably happens to a lot of people, in whatever area. But nice to see so many replies from post-ops, we are all still around ;)

Thanks!! Wow, that is a long day. I only had two appointments because they messed up and there wasn't a nutritionist that could see me, but I only had to wait two hours between appointments. Hope you brought a book!

It was pretty quick and painless. Other than my vitamin issue which is fixing itself I haven't had any complications so I mostly chatted with the nurse about her dogs, lol. She measured my neck and abdomen, asked a list of questions about my general health and that was it. When I saw the social worker it was about a 15 min appointment. She went over a list of questions relating to my mental health and how I am coping with the changes, how is my self esteem, is there anything I feel is too overwhelming etc. Pretty painless.

Hope you are doing well and your appointments today go well!

Glad to hear it! :) I felt the same way after my SW appointment because the woman I saw said it was refreshing after a long day of appointments to see someone doing so well. So pat yourself on the back and take note of all your successes!! Appreciate the fact that you're doing what you're supposed to. I agree, too many success stories here say that protein protein protein is the key, and lay off the simple carbs! Keep up the good work :)

Thanks pal for the tip on vit b12. I have taken it daily instead of every other day, sublingual, and it worked! I have been dropping the past couple of days. Crazy, coincidence maybe, but I tell ya, I am thrilled.
