RNY  4 Years 10 Months Post Op

Morning

Insomnia and hunger have me up in the middle of the night.....just had a ham and cheese roll up.....will count it in breakfast.......and hopefully some more sleep

STEPS - 10,465.....and my back feels pretty good

EATS

B #1 - ham and cheese roll up

B #2 - premier protein shake

 

S - pure protein bar

 

L - cobb salad

 

D - ham and cheese sandwich from the deli

 

s - Greek yogurt

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,225,  Carbs - 94 grams,  Fat - 42 grams,  Protein - 115 grams

All water....vits

Good morning!  Sorry you're getting the insomnia again, Barb.  Hope you get some rest eventually.

First day after my second CBT session yesterday evening, and I'm feeling better already - feeling ready to put some time aside for me, really plan my meals and my day, and use the forms they gave me to track what I'm eating and how I'm feeling when I'm eating it, despite the chaos in other areas of my life.  Also got the Toronto East End coffee nights figured out for February, posted, and emailed off.  And at least I've been getting up early every morning and spending a couple of hours to myself in the kitchen, preparing lunches and food for everyone for the day.  I'm finding that routine comforting and helpful.  Hoping to get in a walk at lunch hour today as well, but we'll see what the weather is like for that.

I'm getting low on groceries and prepared food, so time for a Costco run soon.

1 YEAR POST-RNY

B - 1/2 cup ricotta/vanilla/splenda mix plus 1/2 cup frozen berry mix (raspberries, blackberries and blueberries)

S - Sliced cucumbers, 1 ounce of brie to spread on them, plus some assorted olives and pickles

L - Beef stew (cafeteria special today at work), and a kiwi fruit for dessert

S - Another serving of ricotta and berries

D - Not sure yet - have to figure that out. Some sort of meat thing with salad probably.

S - Probably a glass of skim milk

TOTALS WITHOUT DINNER: 59g protein, 37g fat, 80 carbs, 11g fiber, 894 calories

So, dinner will have to be something with really good protein and moderate carbs.

Hi Michelle,

Where are you going for your CBT sessions?  TWH was supposed to call me about them, but never heard back.  I am going on a cruise on Saturday and will follow up with them when i get back, but was wondering where you go from.

I hear you on the insomnia Barb,. I have had 11 hours sleep total Since Sunday night. I hope you get some sleep soon as well..I had a great work out last night and i will go again tonight.

B- special K with 1% milk. and Tea.

S- mixed fruit.

L- sauted veggies with 3 oz chicken.

S- protein bar..

D- lettuce roll ups with LF cheese and lean smoked meat, and picle slices.

S- roasted chck peas..and maybe cheese string..

Glad your back is feeling better Barb. Insomnia sucks, I’ve had a few bouts with it and it’s so frustrating!

 B- Iogo greek yogurt raspberry w/all max protein powder; half a small banana chopped up

 S- 1 oz of almonds          

 Lunch –scrambled egg w/milk, salsa and pc blue menu tex mex shredded cheese

 S- hummus 3 slices of melba

 Dinner  -crazy plates – looking for mr good barley soup, cracker barrel individual wrapped light cheese

 FITNESS PAL Calories  904 Carbs 59  Fat 42  Protein  70 (I know this is low, I had 111 gms yesterday)
