Congratulations!  I just went through a month long stall myself so I know what you are feeling.  Keep doing what your supposed to be doing and the pounds WILL come off!  Great job!

Woohoo! You don't look stalled to me ;) I'm so happy for you! I have been thinking about all the clothes I haven't been able to wear, even the stuff that is just a size or two smaller - can't wait! Though I have to... I was supposed to have my LAST appt before the surgeon today, but my Dad called in a panic because Carol had had some kind of seizure. I'm glad he called because I know he was scared and my presence made him feel better, but thankfully, Carol has not had a stroke or another seizure. So of course, I wouldn't go back in time and *not* return home early... but a small part of me is like "man, just a couple hours later and I would have been all done my pre-appts." I'm just glad Carol seems okay, and has owned up that she has been resisting pain meds. Now she is on them, so she will be so much more comfortable. Meanwhile, the next earliest appt date for my remaining (psych) appt is... MARCH 21. Ugh.

Oh man, so sorry to hear about Carol's seizure :\ But I'm glad you've been able to convince her to stop resisting her pain meds - I can only imagine how much more comfortable she will be now. It sucks that you had to miss an appointment but I think you know how much both Carol and your Dad appreciate you being there for them both. I really do believe things happen for a reason, and even if it's hard to see now you may look back a year from now and see why things are happening the way they are. It's hard not to feel a little bit disappointed you missed your appointment, but fingers crossed they will call you with an earlier date for the psych appointment. Are you in good with Rayanne? She was the one at the desk who performed miracles for me and got all my appointments bumped up! She's such a sweetheart. Fingers crossed you can get a date in February!

It's crazy to be wearing clothes that I haven't worn in so many years! The scale still refuses to move but I think I might be indulging in a few too many carbs and this cold weather has stopped any exercising I was doing (which wasn't much) so I think really taking a hard look at my food journal and eliminating the night time cracker snacks will help. I turn 31 at the end of February and was hoping to be down 85-90 lbs so I better get my butt in gear!! But the fact that fat seems to be redistributing is awesome as well and I definitely can't take any of this journey for granted :)

Thanks so much, Katie, and you are right, I already am glad that I was there sooner after to help my Dad through it. Since the meds have upped we've seen a remarkable change in Carol. Yes, she's more loopy, but the anxiety, the anger, the grumpiness - it's really gone. Now when she isn't sleeping (which is less time, for sure) she's smiling and calm and talks about dreaming about her family and a "passageway". Now, I'm not religious but I do think the mind is super powerful, so if she is seeing these comforting images, I am happy for her to feel that peace. It's been five months of harshness for her, so I will gladly accept that we may have less active, lucid time with her if it means she's content and comfortable.

Now, as for the scale - you will very likely see those lbs melt away by your birthday, if you are seeing the clothing fit better now. I remember when I was having success through the Momentum WW plan (Points+ was a total failure for me) there was a point where I was like "how can I be 250 lbs but wearing size 16?" It was because the inches were going but the mass wasn't. I know how hard it is to work out in winter - would you ever consider mall walking? You don't have to wear a sweatband and runners or anything, but you can clock a couple km browsing your average suburban mall.

I'm 31 April 19th, and a part of me wants to have surgery by then, another part of me is like "maybe I can have one last birthday champagne" ;)
