Hi, just wondering - I heard some prepare opti with ice, if I do that do I still add water as well?  Do I do half water and half ice?  Made the vanilla for my first one, need to try one of the extracts next time, having a hard time getting it down.  :(

Can you add decaf coffee for now? Or peanut butter?

Are you using water or skim milk? I think it's skim milk with crushed ice.

i can't help you in the prepping as I am still pre op myself.

Good luck.

No peanut butter and no milk.  You have to mix with water or other no cal/low cal liquids like the coffee or crystal light, etc.

You should mix with water and only use sugar-free low/no calorie sweeteners.

Instead of 300ml, I put 250ml (1 cup) of water in a Magic Bullet with 7 ice cubes. It's the perfect size for the "Single Shot" Magic Bullet.

Some people add less water and and eat their shake like a pudding. Play around with the consistency until you find what you like. Personally, I can't get them down unless they're ice cold.

I bought DaVinci brand flavours through www.thelowcarbgrocery.com. I selected regular shipping and the flavours arrived within 2 business days.

Good luck!

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but during Opti I added a scoop of decaf coffee crystals along with some Davici syrup and voila, a mochaccino! It definitely helped me get them in. Ice was nice since it was something to "chew".

Good luck!

I didn't use ice at all, but instead of tap water, once I finished a shake, I'd clean my shaker and fill it with 12 oz of water and put it in the fridge until I needed it again.  That was cold enough for me to drink it.

I put 300ml of cold water and a few ice chips, added Da Vinci sugar free syrup (amazing flavors) and 2 tsp of fiber. All my Opti shake were wonderful. Da Vinci has so many great flavors to choose from. www.thelowcarbgrocery.com

Hope this helps :)

Hi Cottagenanny, sorry about the delay in my response I purchased my fiber at Fortino's grocery store pharmacy. It's call Exacted and it's equivalent to Benefiber. It's sugar-free non-thickening powder and it has no flavor.
