Well, I have been thinking of some goals. My first goal is to be happy! 2) Get a full time position at work. 3) I want to join a yoga class in the spring after I'm healed from my PS. 4) continue healthier eating but still enjoy some treats 5) lose a few lbs in the next 10 days before my surgery. 6) do some more walking and biking this summer 7) save some extra money and do something extravagant possibly. I'm sure I could come up with some more but this is a good start :-)

BELOW GOAL        Happily maintaining 4.5 years out!!   Life is GREAT!!!  Had my plastic surgery!

My goals are as follows:

- have surgery completed sometime this year (do all prep stuff so I am at maximum readiness)

- safely and gradually increase my activity level with my physiotherapist to avoid re-injury.  Most likely more walking and biking. Possibly water aerobics in the summer.

- walk my dogs regularly, make it part of daily routine again rather than an occasional thing

- continue with the healthy eating changes I have made, adding new ones as needed

- keep my house neater/more organized so that I feel like cooking/eating there. this lowers my stress and reduces likelihood of eating out or ordering in, which is bad for my nutrition and my budget.

- practice mindfulness, meditation, and use cbt to deal with my life stresses rather than food.  This one is always a work in progress as it is so easy to get off track

- use my gym membership:  start short beginner level yoga classes being careful of my knee. get back into lifting weights - gradually/carefully so as not to re-injure my rib muscles

- keep experimenting with low carb high protein recipes, add to my cookbook

This year will be an interesting one for me I think and I am looking forward to it.

Reaching my weight goal by the end of February which will be 1 year post-op, re-learning to ski this winter and ride a bike this spring.......and then a boudoir photo shoot (skin and all!) For a gift for my wonderful husband.

Skiing should be wonderful based on the snowy nature of winter thus far :)

Wow - the boudoir photo shoot takes lots of guts which i don't have...but I'm sure your hubby will love every minute of that!

Happy New Year!
