burps after every sip!

For the life of me i can't figure out how to sip without having a huge burp come up after it goes down - I am only 3 days post op so this still hurts and is quite unpleasant.

Tips?

You are probably still getting rid of gas from surgery. It can take a few days to get out. Just remember what Shrek says "Better out than in" even if it hurts a bit. It should calm down after a while. You could try gas-x strips and see if it helps.

Almost 3 weeks post-op and I have exactly the same problem... not "huge" burps but burps nonetheless and for me burps translate into back pain. Arrrrrrgh!!!!
