I’ve spent the last 2 days going through, organizing and emptying out my mother’s locker -- which, of course, included things she held on to after my father's death. It was the last thing that had to be done. She passed away almost a year ago. It was hard to do—bringing up a mixture of emotions.  It was interesting how I “thought” about taking comfort in food. I cut up some crunchy cucumber and munched. Thankfully it did the trick. Today’s a new day—a new chapter.

 Have a great weekend everyone!

I am really impressed with your resolve to stay on healthy eating. Dealing with emotions can be so hard

Thank you Pat for your support and understanding. I'm a bit pensive today--but that's a good thing.

I hope you have a great weekend and figure out a way to get a washing machine and a vacationMaybe you could use a credit card that gives air mile points when you buy your washing machine.  enlightened

Good morning!!! kiss

3+yrs post-op, maintaining

I'm feeling a little excited each day comes around!!    For many things!  I can't wAit for Christmas to get here; my hubby is going to be shocked with what I got him for Christmas this year. 30 days until my plastics surgery! Get to spend time with my families (my side then my hubby's) for the holidays.

As I was getting ready to head out to clean one of my houses, she text me and said it was to much chaos there and she wants me to wait til next week to come. Well... okie dokie then. Now what to do with myself??? LOL! I have a few things to do around the house and I might as well shovel some snow. :P

I have been planning my foods for the day and just eating as I am hungry. I talked to my Nut about grazing vs actually sitting for a meal. I don't have/make the time for it. I am always really busy. She said as long as I am getting in my daily requirements between foods and liquids, then do what I can do. I ALWAYS make sure I plan my foods for the day. I still count the grams of what I am eating. And I usually eat everything I plan, the odd day, I might not eat one thing but my lunch bag usually is empty by the time I get home from work.

Today I have planned... (I had it in my lunch bag ready to go for my day)

- 1/2c fibre cereal with a 1/4c honeynut cheerios

- egg salad sandwich

- protein shake

- 110g ham, 50g cheese, handful lettuce, little ranch dressing on a wrap

- grapes

- 4 chicken wings (from hubby's dinner last night)

- 4 pepperettes (Schnieder's has a new flavour! Smokey Bacon!) and 30g cheese

all vitamins and liquids in for the day!

Have a GREAT day everyone

BELOW GOAL        Happily maintaining 4.5 years out!!   Life is GREAT!!!  Had my plastic surgery!

Good morning all. I tried a new meditation cd I have had forever. It incorporates yoga into it. I found I did not meditate as much but it was a good stretch. I did laugh when one of the moves was to lay on my back and put my knees up to my ears. That one was not happening. I do however feel happier today so that is good. We had hoped to go away this winter. My husband got his bonus yesterday and I had hoped it would go right into savings. But of course the washing machine is acting up. We have already had to fixed it a few times and it now need replacing. Always something. Hopefully we can baby it until the sales after Christmas. Since we have a very old house and a narrow entrance to the basement we have to pick the machine by what will fit into the stairwell.

My head cold is still here so I have packed a days meals a little weird.

b greek yogurt, mixed fruit, granola

s laughing cow (forgot the crackers)

l stew, carrots

s skim milk shake

d salsa chicken, salad

s wine while trimming the tree.

Good morning Pat, just wanted to share I worked in a very old historical building that we used to house people a while back and in buying the washing machine we could not get it down into the basement but when we took the door off the front it was able to move in.  You no doubt are aware of that idea but wanted to share it just in case, hope you get to get away still

 Respectfully Jane
