Changes - From My Largest to Now.... 3 photos.
Hi everyone,
It's a long, never-ending journey, and my surgery was on March 11th, 2013 at the TEGH with Dr. Jamie Cyriac. I haven't hit the 6 month post-op mark yet, but I've seen weight loss and many NSVs; maybe fitting through a TTC turn style without squishing through sideways like a crab, being able to walk for over 45 minutes every day, and being able to ride my bike again without having the tires deflate within seconds are my favourites. Also, I no longer snore and need to book another sleep study to get my CPAP machine's pressure setting turned down at least a point or two.
Here's a photo of me around my heaviest weight - 320 lbs, in 2011.
Here's a photo of me at Christmas 2012, just a month before I had my first bariatric appointment. I was about 306 lbs. That's where I started my OH ticker.
After my surgery, I came home and was 280 lbs, when I'd lost all the extra IV fluids they pumped into me in the TEGH.
And here's a recent photo of me. I now weigh just under 205 lbs.
So, I've lost just over 100 lbs since my first appointment at the bariatric clinic and have lost 78 lbs since surgery, and many aches and pains, but I have gained back mobility and hope for the future.
Jenn. :D
