Have You Ever Come Close To Fainting/Passing Out?
That was the exact symptoms I had for low blood pressure. In my case my dr had put me on blood pressure medication 2 years ago... I was on it for 2 weeks and stopped as I had what you described. It brought my blood pressure way too low. And the elevated blood pressure turned out only to be temporary as I have usually had low pressure all my life.
Can also be orthostatic hypotension. Blood pressure drop. It's pretty common out of surgery for a while. Typically, you need to SLOW DOWN when you get up, allow a minute for your body to adjust to the change in blood pressure and then move. If you do it all at once, it can result in that very faint feeling. I had it. Hubby had it. I still get episodes on the odd occasion.

Hi Dawn,
Thank you, it certainly sounds like orthostatic hypotension. Sometimes I even lose my hearing - when everything goes dark.
I don't know why I didn't think of taking things slowly, probably because I feel fine before I get up, and it also doesn't happen every time I get up.
Jenn. :)
