Hello all I must admit have been pretty bad at posting! I must point out that I do often read and usually don't respond to may posts as what I would have responded has already been said.

But enough about that I was going to share my update.  I am currentli 195 lbs and a much healthier person! I started this journey at 355 and in the past almost 16months have lost 160lbs and hoping to get to my goal of 175lbs soon! (Note I am 5'10) I would love it by my birthday (May 10) but I am thinking that may be a bit unreasonable as things have definately slowed down and 20lbs in a month just doesn't sound doable or healthy at this far out.  So now for some huge victories

Clothes!!!! yes I am having fun finding my own style not because i have to wear what fits but rather what I like.  Ordered a really cool 50's style dress for my 40th birthday party including crinolin and can't wait to strut my stuff!  Ordered off line from a company called Lindy Bop out of the UK (note UK sizes are definately smaller than north American)  I ordered a size 18 and it fits but snug.  As for other clothes i can wear a 16 pant from a 28-30 when I started.  My tops are xl-xxl (dam them boobs) and started at 5x

Fitness!! I can walk forever I have loved sliding with my kids all winter and passing them on the walk up the hills.  I have also started couch to 5k so i am experimenting with running and am pretty proud of myself for that.  Next on my bucket list is a group fitness class!

Health!! my vitamin levels have been up and down and i have had to add iron and extra d to my routine but other than that it has been good.  My PB seems to be inching up again and I am sure it is because I have been drinking coffee again so I am trying to watch my caffine intake. I have had some menstral issues since surgery and it was discovered that I have a fibroid in my uterous wall and due to low iron levels and heavy menstration they are recomending an ablasion ..... referral went in January and still haven't heard anything but I am not uncomforatable and didnt even know I had anything going on lol it was only after the clinic asked about my cycle and flow that they decided i need an ultrasound as they were worried with my low iron and heavy period that I could end up anemic pretty quick. But really I feel great!

I have to say that it has been an amazing journey and that I am so glad I made the decision to have it done.  My next step will be plastics and my centre will be putting in a refferral come June for my panni and to tell you the truth i am more terrified of that than I was of the rny.

I still seem to be the one behind the camera so i don't have too many pictures to update but when I do, I promis I will post.  Ok I will definately post some pics of me in my great new dress when I wear it!

First all congrats on your accomplishments so far and the panni is nothing to be scared of I had mine removed in fact I had a full tummy and arms done....am very happy with the results. I have to say could not believe how little pain their was. as for OHIP it only covers $500 if you qualify ...... plastics its really a huge step but such a great one ......

best of luck

Really only $500 I thought that if you qualified that the pannectomy was fully covered by Ohip and you only paid if you upgraded to a tummy tuck ..... Any further info on this would greatly be appreciated

If you  are not upgrading, and OHIP approved, you do not have to pay anything!  Congrats on your journey Robin, a long time ago you and I went to the same high school... And yes, it seems a lifetime and a full person lost in weight ago!!!  Great job with all your accomplishments!!!

Isn't it an amazing feeling.... I know when I say I am lighter now than when I. Was 14 or 15 people are shocked unless they have known me that long. I have had a lifetime of obesity so when I say I have NEVER shopped in a regular sized store I really mean it!
