I went through HRRH as well but my Doctor was Dr. Lindsay and my Surgery was at St. Joe's Toronto. I am glad you had a good experiance with your Doctor and I hope all goes well with your upcoming test & appointments. I was on Optifast for 3 weeks too, after 3 days things started to get better but the first 3 days are hard, I wont lie. It's odd but after sugery and you start drinking protein shakes you will miss optifast because it is not as bad as some of the protein shakes and powders out there.

good luck with everything :)

Mellissa. You must be buying some pretty bad protein shakes!. Opti is a neccessary evil but not something I could have stayed on.
Camafrogs. Hope all goes well with your tests and you get an early surgery date.

oh I have tried some oh so nasty protein shakes in my my post-op days lol but I did finally find one that is much better than Optifast. looking back Optifast wasn't so bad after the first 3 days not for me anyways

Very cool, well not the 3 weeks...lol..but cool that you met him...I like him so much, he was awesome with me and I really felt he cared, especially after surgery and came to see me before being discharged.

Did you get a date yet?  or the will call you?

I did Opti for 3 weeks and was 256 when I started out.

Get thru the first 3 days and it will just become what you do :)

Good luck !!

Glad your appointment went well. Mine was fine too. I have to have boatloads of tests done and with my insurance my surgery won't be probably for 6 months. You'll be skinny before I even get started!

I liked the Opti too. Those seem like much simpler days.
