Thanks. This will be the best thing you'll ever do for you but it WILL have challenges too.  It is worth it a million times over though!

All the best in your journey,
Dawn

I want to thank you Dawn for giving us this gift.

It must have been incredibly difficult for you and I think you are tremendously brave for writing what you did.  It is hard to put yourself (the good, the bad and the ugly) out there for everyone to see - and judge (you just know some are doing that!).

Good for you and thank you for your words of wisdom.  Much appreciated.

Here's to the 12 year blog!

Thanks Ann. I've never been so nervous to press the "submit" button around here.  LOL  But thankfully, people appreciate honesty no matter how ugly it can be.

12 year blog? Bwahahahaha =) You never know.... :)  Thanks again!

I have bookmarked this for future reference!  This is truly inspirational, and is very honest.  Thank you for posting your journey so far, it was a teaching moment for me.  Then journey is never truly over and we get out of it what we put into it!

Thank you Dawn.

thank you for the honest posting. I am 6 months out and really worry about the re-gain. I hope I do as well as you. I know it bothers you but like you said perhaps this is the weight your body likes. I once got to 156 and found I settled at 165. Right now either still seems a long way away.
So thank you again for posting and telling us what to look for down the road.

Dawn, this should be required reading for any pre & post-op....it's worth every word! (I can appreciate wordy...I tend to be the same way.) Again, thank you for sharing this...the honesty in your message is more powerful than you know.

I've had this in my head for weeks Toni...but had to wait til I had the trailer to myself and time to really choose my words so that hopefully, the right sentiment gets across.

This is a very powerful tool: This OH community.  I'm so grateful for this Ontario board.

Dawn, I can't thank you enough for your honesty.bi am six months out, can eat anything and everything, never had an issuenafterbsurgery. I feel blessed but but and quantity is reeling its ugly head. I have 20 pounds to goal and since I've been at this current weight for what seems to be an eternity I'm beginning to feel fat and a failure. You've taken away some of my shame and given me the realization that the work really starts now for me. Thank you for your post. I'm bookmarking it to read again and again. Continued success in this life long journey!
