OT-- My Doc says I am an enigma
With regard to your lithium, is there someone that will tell you if you're having symptoms of your bipolar illness? I know that its sometimes difficult for a person to recognize them on their own.
I'd hate for you to have to deal with that as well, but if they can treat you at the beginning of any symptoms exhibited then that would be better for you.
You have always been there for others with big words of support and encouragement. So, when I read that your going through so much and remaining so strong; YOU ARE AMAZING. I think you may be onto something when you speak of your immune system. . .it could be a reaction to the Teflon components of your knee. Or perhaps your knee replacement is a red hearing.
I understand not wanting to tell your dad, at least until you have something concrete to tell. . .we can imagine worse than what is most times.

For whatever it's worth, Ive learned over the past few years that a lot of people have masses or cysts in various spots that are just "there", and that their Dr.s follow for changes but opt to simply leave alone (my Dad and daughter included). I hope you will fall into this category.
You've got a lot of people rooting for you here! We all wish you the best in what must be a very trying time.
And woot /woot (as my daughter says) for fitting into medical imagining machines. That was one of my biggest fears at 350lbs, and one of my major NSV's was sliding into an MRI without worrying about getting stuck (haha).
