Length of Surgeon Appointment???

I'm curious as to how long your surgeon appointment at TWH lasts? I'm looking at booking my flight to fly in and out the same day and I want to make sure I book my flight properly.

Well today I was called into the office with 3 other people, we were all weighed and put into separate rooms. I was the third on to be seen. We were put in the room close to 8:30am and the surgeon didn't get into my room until sometime between 10 - 10:30, then he left and waited to get the surgery appointment. So we weren't out of there until 11:30am. It didn't take long talking to the surgeon, he just went over everything and gets you to sign the papers. The rest was just waiting.

Thanks Brenda it did help. It totally slipped my mind about the waiting to actually get in. Silly me.

I will book to come back on the last flight then. If we have time to kill there is always the mall lol

Mine was 10 am, and we were out of there by 12 ish...hope that helps:)

Thanks Beck it did as well. I guess it depends how many people they schedule that day and how long each person takes so my best bet will to book the last flight at 8:20 pm because I don't think I will be done for the flight before that at 1:20 because my appointment is at 11.

Heidi - my first appointment with the surgeon was scheduled for 10:30, but we didn't actually see him until 1:00. We had to go to Admitting first to get my hospital ID bracelet, then up to the 4th fl waiting area to check in, then we waited in an exam room. It definitely makes sense not to book the flight that leaves at 1:20 if you're appt is at 11:00. Bring your patience and a sense of humour and you'll be fine! Nice to see you getting closer to your goal!
