Security at the airport just informed me the with a medical note you can bring liquids on the plane.

Sometimes you just put one foot in front of the other, even if you don't know where you're going.

That's really good to know - I was wondering about that actually. I'm sure if your water bottle isn't opened and you have a note you should be good to go.

You can purchase liquids post security to bring on the plane.  It is getting past security with liquids that is the problem, not the plane.

Good luck with your travelling.

Hi Heidi,
Not on very often as I have just begun the process but noticed you are from the Sault!  Me too!  My orientation date is Jan. 18th at TWH.  How has the process gone for you.  I note you did not have to go to Toronto for all the appointment (whew!)  Thougoht I was going to spend the next year on the road.  Just a "heads-up" from you would be really appreciated since you are so far ahead.  Thanks for the time and good luck with your upcoming appts.

Honestly, I fly quite regularly and it's just easier for me to a) carry my empty water bottle (it collapses and folds up) with me or b) purchase your drink (water, milk, Gatorade G2) post security.

Why?  Because it all depends on what security personnel you get, some don't care about (and won't even bother reading) doctor's notes.

I just usually pack sample sized pouches of my protein powders/crystal light flavours and then get my water/skim milk/whatever at my destination.

FAR less headache than dealing with surly TSA agents in often long lineups.

There are a lot of liquids people can take with them through security if they are for medical purposes, insulin and eye contact solution come to mind immediately as well as baby formula, I've even had codeine cough syrup when I've been obviously ill and none of these items count towards your limit either. I would think you could take a pre-mixed protein shake like the premier shakes if you had a note specifying a medically necessary high protein diet.
