Telehealth with TWH

Called TWH earlier to see if they recieved my fax ... which they did and to ask when I will get one of my first appointments ... I'm doing what I can via telehealth so they say I have to wait to hear from them ... they will call closer to an appointment date ..... thinking maybe I should have did the one on one in person at TWH ... starting to kick my butt
For those that did telehealth with TWH how much of a wait was there?

was wondering what you mean by doing it with telehealth? Does it mean you had the orientation over the phone?

I went to TWH for my orientation ... because of the distance I have to travel (9hrs) I can do some of my appointments via web cam conferrence. I will have to go to the local Hospital here to use their equipment. I don't like to travel the hwys in the winter.

That is a long drive. That is great that you can do the tests locally, I was wondering how that would work. I don't blame you for not liking winter driving.

I am having the same problem. I am almost regretting cancelling my regular appointments; they would have been on Dec. 21. The waiting is driving me crazy. The process seems so long for me since my referral was received in April and they had me down for a no show in May for orientation which I was never told about. That finally took place in Aug. I hope you get a good response on your post because it will also give me a bit of info. Good luck, and all the best.

When I spoke with TWH yesterday they said they were working on the people that were there in July. At my orientation Sept. 6 they said they would get to me probably in December. With telahealth you need as much notice for the appointments as you do if you have to travel. I think they will call you a few days before the appointment date. At least that's what I'm hoping.
Don't worry about the no show in May because their mail was all messed up they said. I received my letter to go the day before I was suppose to be there. Needless to say I rebooked.
I'm using this time to research even more then I already have and to practice how I will be living afterwards. I have changed my eating habbits and exercise habbits a great deal.
