Food is messing with my head!!
Hi everyone. I don't get on here much anymore, since I came back to work in May. I miss you all!
Anyhow, here's my huge dilemma. Food.
I am almost 5 months out, and quite suddenly i'm able to eat more food than ever. Now, my angel Tabetha warned me that I might get hungry days at certain times of the month, and I do seem to get more hungry two weeks before Flo arrives. But it is seriously messing with me. Today I was able to eat a chicken leg, without any problems and I was still hungry. I didn't succumb to the hunger, but it scares me. I'm scared to eat. I'm scared to go back to where I was. I know that I was going to have to start getting more than my 600-800 calories in a day, and yet that scares me. Has anyone else gone through this?

Yes. From what I'm learning the further out you are from surgery the more you can eat and the more hunger comes back. It is Scary. For me I was worried I would go totally out of control again. I now understand what it means when people say "it is a tool". You have to be conscious of it and use it to help yourself live a better healthier life. Maybe you could write down what you are eating and bring it to a dietician or Dr to see if you are actually eating enough? It could be that your body is actually hungry.
