I hit my goal weight???

So, at my social worker follow up (one month appointment....4 and a half months later), she weighed me in (159 woohoo!) and said, "Oh! you hit your goal weight." I was so shocked that she said that, because in my head I have at least 25 more to go. But I guess my goal was 160, which was whatever percentage of my excess weight. Which is all they expect us to lose.

So that was my happy news....but i'm still not done!! LOL

That is so great Kelly.  You look great.  At this point, I can really relate to your before pic, but I can't wait to relate to your after pic.  Keep up the great work.

Most surgical centres are very conservative when it comes to setting a goal for surgery. They know not everyone will reach 100% of excess weight loss and that there may be some bounceback.  Some people have 100 lbs to lose, others have 300 lbs to lose so realistically they have to set a goal you can meet.

You can definitely get lower. Whatever your goal is, you can do it.  I highly suggest even going under your goal to accommodate possible bounceback in the future.  I never gave myself leeway and I regret it.

I agree with Dawn.  Especially with a relative "lightweight" like yourself - getting to a 20-22BMI should be pretty easy.  And that gives you a bit of "room" in case of regain.  And a ROCKIN'  HOT BOD.
