Hi Everyone,

I am about 9 months out and all of July i haven lost anything.  I mean i have gained a pound one week then lost it the next.  i have lost 95 pounds so far but i cant seem to get over this bump.  Also some of the old cravings are coming back any suggestions on how to get rid of them again?  If you have any answers for me i would really appreciate it, i am stuck right now, and i want to be able to say that i made it to goal.  I dont want to quit since thats how most of us got to where we started from in the first place.  So I need some help here PLEASE........

go back to basics.. weigh and measure everything. maybe up your excercise you may have reached a platea because your current regime is a walk in the park now... add something to spice it up..

good luck

Do a food and exercise diary, if you still are wondering what's doing it after you track for a bit (including amounts) then post a few days worth here (all at once).

Funny I stalled out at this marker too.  For a month I didn't move.  Don't worry - it will come.

Just make sure that you haven't had any bad habits creep in - like too many carbs starting to creep in, not taking in enough fluid, etc.  The 9 month marker is critical as this is when some of the bad habits show up again.

Examine and then fix if needed, and most of all, just hang in there. Even put the scale away if you need to for a while.

I'm a month behind you and I've really slowed down.  I cut back and added more protien and it's coming off again.  Because I have arthritis i haven't done any exercising simply walking much more.  Guess it's time to kick that up somehow.

Definately keep track of what your eating and weigh and measure.  Also look at your water intake, make sure you're getting enough.  Watch the simple carbs;  once you start down that road they make you crave more.  I'd recommend staying away from simple carbs as long as possible.  Try walking a bit more than usual or change up your exercise program.

Finally, don't stress about it, we all have stalls and they are perfectly normal.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

The cravings come back - that's a fact of life.  The decision becomes - what are you going to do about it?

A friend once told me that she looks at everything she puts in her mouth as a choice to be thin or fat.  If she choses to eat that donut, she's making a choice to regain the weight.  That helps her to stay on track.

For me - it helps to track everything.  Even when I chose the donut.  Ok - I rarely chose the donut...but tracking means I will take one small bite of something (and count it) instead of eating the whole thing!  To me, everything is about balance.

i'm almost 8 months out, and i had completely stalled for about a month and a half. i was stuck at 185 pounds. for the past week, i hid my scale and went back to basics. i weighed and measured everything i was eating. i only ate what i had pre-planned to eat. i ate 5-6 times a day, every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. i did that for one week. yesterday i weighed myself.. 179 pounds. i am back on track, and you can do it too!!
