Unfortunately, I will not be having surgery tomorrow.

One week into Optifast, I got a call from Dr. Mamazza's office rescheduling the gastroscopy for a month and a half later, well into September, due to God knows what. This prompted the Weight Clinic to cancel my surgery date and Lana instructed me to stop taking the Optifast. 

I can only imagine they will set the date after the gastroscopy sometime, so it may be in late September or October when I can hopefully get another date.

I wasn't okay with it that first day when I received the news, but figured what the heck can I do about it? There was a passing in the family that week, so there was absolutely no desire to dwell on my own problems.

I'll patiently wait and eventually it'll happen. Thank you for all the congratulations a few weeks back and all of your support. 

Oh Jonathan, I'm so sorry to hear this! BUT, you have a great attitude and I have no doubt you are going to do awesome! Haven't seen you in forever! We should get a bunch of us together for coffee or something sometime this week (if you are available)!

 I'm so sorry to hear your news I can only imagine how you must feel. I always like to believe there is a reason for everything, we just don't always understand that right away.
You sound very positive so don't let this get you down and keep up the good work!

What a huge disappointment Jonathin. As you said it will happen eventually and in the bigger scheme of things the delay will only be a blip on your wl journey.  You sound like you are staying positive which is awesome.  Take care and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they schedule your scope appt quickly.

Hi Jonathin, I know how disappointed you must feel, you have been waiting so patiently as it is. Glad that you are staying positive, maybe you could get on a cancellation list for the gastroscopy or find another place that does it.
