Update on Nurse Tammy

Tammy emailed me and asked me to pass along this update.

Hi Tanya, I am unable to post to the main board, so I hope you can pass this along. I unfortunatley had a few complications during surgery. There was a lot of scar tissue surrounding The Band, and it was totally encapsulated. Dr. Hong was able to get it out, and was able to do the bypass, however, When he was doing the stapling, he nicked my spleen, and it took a long time to stop the bleeding. I was just told That I will probably have a blood transfusion in the morning. The pain is very bad, and I was vomiting a lot until last night, so I am just on clear fluids now. I hope to go Home on the weekend. I will try to keep you up to date. I still have hope that this was the right desicion .

Please let Tammy know that I wish her a miraculous recovery - quick and total - from all of this. I am so glad to hear that she still has hopes that this was the right decision.
