CPAP Mask?
Hi,
Does anyone know where I would be able to pick up a mask for my CPAP that is less expensive than going back to the dealer? Mine seems to have lost its "seal" and I have to get a new one within the next week or so prior to surgery, or whoever I share a hospital room with will hate my guts! LOL Makes that lovely squealy type noise when I shift positions and I'm driving my DH crazy the last couple of nights! I'm in the London area and if anyone has any ideas or has one they are willing to get rid of, please let me know
Thanks!
Laura
EDIT: The mask I use is a nasal mask by the way! Not the pillows.

Since the masks go with the various models of machines (hoses), then you would need to be specific about the brand of CPAP that you have. I replaced my mask (nose pillows) back in March and it cost about $150 bucks at Vitalaire.
Good luck in your search for a replacement.

Actual ADP does not cover the mask unless your 5 yrs is up for a new machine. You can probably get a really basic cheap one from any vendor for a short term use. If you don't want RESMED you can go to cpap.com and order on line. I believe they are much cheaper or if you can get to the us have it delivered there.
For a short term solution try saline lubrication gel the type you can use for your nose . It work for the leaks I had with an old mask.

I would first phone Assistive Devices at the Ministry of Health in case you can get a replacement mask with them covering 75-80%. It is possible that you are entitled to get a new mask every few years. Maybe someone who has been on CPAP for quite some time would know this. Or phone the vendor - they might know if people can get new masks every few years as part of that program.
