I craved (and still do crave) seafood after my DS too.  I think the culprit for me is pretty easy to identify though...when I was NPO for my extra-long stay they kept showing Red Lobster commercials on TV over & over in the hospital!   Damn LobsterFest!

Dunno. I craved deviled eggs and cole slaw---and I didn't even LIKE them, pre-op! Oh, and pickles---every kind you can think of. It was all about the pickles there for a while.

I went on a pickle binge too....oh, and I was in a radish phase.
Now, I'm in a cilantro and lime phase.

I was not a seafood fan prior to surgery.  I could eat a couple of bites but that was enough for me.  Now I want to eat Seafood a lot.  Even crab (which I would not touch before)  My husband asks me all the time  "Who are you and  What did you do with my wife."  He never had to share the crab before.  Weird how things change after surgery

I'm on a first name basis with everyone at Joe's Crab Shack.  They had me at Steampots.

Seafood is very high in protien... definately I feel I get the most protien grams from shrimp for the least volume which I love,  I say endulge the craving as soon as you can... the crabsalad sounded like a good idea.

I am definitely not a seafood person but I have been craving crab drenched in lemon and garlic butter. It's like heaven to me now.

I'm a huge seafood person too, but an even bigger one post-op. When I was just a few months out, I got on a shrimp kick and ate it for like 2 meals a day for 3 months! I eventually got sick of it though, lol. I can eat the heck out of some tilapia though!
