went to orientation july 14th (guelph).....
Ok so let me start by apologizing for not posting in a long time, lots going on lately. That being said I must tell that i went for orientation on july 14 in guelph and i was really happy with the outcome. I thought i knew my options and knew my research which i do, but i was greatly surprised at just how much more it really sinks in when professionals are actually speaking to you in the front of the class.
I have been smoke free for almost 3 years now and i never really drink pop or alcohol so those are non-issues for me(thankfully). There were definately smokers in the room which i wasn't surprised about, what did surprise me was the fact that when class was over they went to hide behind the building to smoke....if you're ashamed of it then why do it?.
Well onto some other news, i asked the nurse if i would be a candidate for any type of surgery due to the fact that i have a colostomy currently, and i don't want to waste anyones time or a spot if i don't qualify. Audrey took my name and number and said she would discuss this with Dr. Reed. She called me on friday and left me a message telling me Dr. Reed would like a copy of my OPERATIVE report from my colostomy surgery, can anyone tell me what exactly that would tell him? anyhow i'm getting this report from my doctor and hoping i will qualify for some WLS surgery. Sorry it's so long just have so much on my mind and worried i won't qualify for any type of wls.
Thank you all for reading and allowing me to speak my mind.
All the best to everyone,
Stephanie

I believe the operative report is the report they do after every surgery.
IT has in detail step by step of the procedure they preformed during your surgery specifically. ie where they cut, what organs were touched, possibly any findings, ( ulsers, tears, hernias etc.) right down to if they give you blood, heart rate, number of stitches etc.) All in medical terms of coarse.
