Orientation ---> Surgery
VSG on 01/25/12
Is there an average wait time from Orientation until you get your surgery? I work in a job that will require someone fill my position for the weeks I am away and as I was chit chatting with my boss today we were trying to guesstimate around when they would need to be covering me.
At TWH it can be anywhere from 3-6 months depending on how many appts are required and your availability, but I was told that the average is between 4-5 months right now. They said you should have an idea of your surgery date at least 4 weeks in advance as they book it when you meet with the surgeon.

I work about 5-10 minutes from TWH so I am hoping to get onto the cancellation list for all appointments.
I told her I thought I thought I'd end up with surgery end of October or early November - but I was totally guessing on that one.

Oh really? So would I just call on my available days and say do you have any cancellations with the Social Worker (for example)? I don't want them to feel I am harassing them but I do work very very close and can easily slide into an unused appointment.
Patrice is realy good in calling u back.
After my NP appointment my SW was not until August. I called every couple of days and managed to get a cancellation for June 28th.
Will get my next appointments on the 28th.
At TWH we we told that you have to have the NP first then SW before the next appointments are made.
