Kelly's Question of the Week - multivitamins

Which multivitamin do  you take (non-chewable)? Is there one that is easier on the stomach, or that you don't have to take with food? Does that exist?

As much as I am in a routine with taking my vitamins, and I have a "take you meds" notification on my phone, I sometimes find that I don't have the time to eat, so I can take the pill. Any advice?

I'm still pre-surgery but I take Multibionta. I don't have to take them with food either. The NUT at Humber said they were a good choice for post-surgery too so I'll stick with them.

I buy them at either PharmaPlus or Walmart. If you go to their website www.multibionta.ca you can print coupons - $5 off or $10 off. Just be sure when you print them to leave the full page intact - don't cut the coupon - retailers now want to see the web address printed at the bottom of the page.

Just was looking on the Multibionta website and the don't recommend chewing or dividing their vitamins to take them.  So you might have to switch your vitamins for the time right after surgery until you can take them whole again.   How big are they anyways.  I find most vitamins are large.

They're about a centimeter in length - they're the smallest multi I've ever come across.

The recommendation to not split them is only because you might lose some of the probiotics. Other than that, you can still split/crush them.

I was surprised that the Women's One-a Day was much smaller than the others.  I add alot of other things, so I'm not sure they're so complete.

Hey Kel

Centrum and Life brand have chewables and non chewables, you don't have to take them with food. I stopped taking them only becuase they are big, so I went to a chewable
