I bought the sublingual b-12, they are ok...the multivitamin..brush teeth immediately afterwards.. tons of sugar.. the caltrate with vit -D,  supposed to break down in water...not having much luck with that.. but always thirsty now I find..  My son is home from university, so we often go out late when I can't sleep for a large decaf.. black of course..and that sort of takes care of some of the thirst.

Good luck to you

Is it the brand of multiple Vit that has too much or all of them? Also, the caltrate r soft chews, it fine to chew them right after surgery?

Hi Lilla,

If these vitamins are for after surgery you will need them in chewables because you aren't supposed to swallow them for at least a month after surgery.  In had my surgery through the Ottawa clinic and they suggested a liquid calcium for after surgery.  I use the softchews on occassion but not until the liquid was all gone.

Good luck for your upcoming surgery.

Most people do chewable vitamins or liquids.

Liquid calcium citrate is better than the caltrate chews which I believe are mostly carbonate. They are more easily absorbed for bariatric patients. Life brand has a liquid calcium and they carry some at Costco too.
