Medial Thigh Lift - Dr. Silverman

Hi - I am booked for a medial thigh lift with Ottawa's Dr. Howard Silverman.  Has anyone had that surgery with him (or another plastic surgeon)?  Just curious about it all.

I have a friend who had WLS many years ago and had several plastics procedures following.  She said the worst EVER was the thigh thing. LOL  I'll be praying for good drugs for you!  xo

Ask for dilaudid. I felt like I was floating and was never in pain (not sure if it would work the same for a thigh lift...)

I know of two women in Ottawa who have had plastics with Dr Silverman, both love the man and are happy with the outcome.
Congrats! and PLEASE take pictures I would LOVE to see (if you will share) definitely something I will look into in the future!

Hi Jenny - sure I will share pics - the surgery isn't til Oct. but I will certainly show the pics.  I am nervous (about the pain) but anxious/excited about having it done.  We travel to the Caribbean and I know (plus my honest husband says yes) people gawk at me.

Our last trip, some loud mouth guy says, I saw this girl once who had so much saggy skin on her legs, they were almost transparent.  I wanted to say, duh, idiot, I know that obviously I broght THAT conversation on.

So, I am really self-conscious about them.

Best wishes to you on this - I would love to talk to you when you are done - I hope you will keep OH informed - thigh lift would be the only other plastic surgery I want - had tt last august - it scares me a little - lol - but then I was petrified at the potential pain of the extended TT and it was very manageable

Hi Barb - yeah, the pain part scares me, too :)

Dr. Silverman says I will also probably need the posterior buttock lift for the back of the legs - I will wait and see (probably will have that down the line once the $ tree grows back as little lol)

The thigh lift is the only one that scares me of all the plastic surgeries out there.  I'd take an LBL before that even.  I know of a few that had them done but not by Silverman.  They are happy with the results but said it was the slowest recovery of all the surgeries.  I am not afraid of the pain from it just the long healing time is all. 

Good timing on doing it in October so you have the winter to recovery fully before it's time to go swimming again.  Best of luck Ruth.
