Well after 16months, I have a date!

Tuesday May 24th   Woohoo.

I will be having the sleeve after consult with Dr. Reed.  I have been very well taken care of at Guelph through this process. The staff have been amazing.

Thank you to everyone on OH, without this site there is no way I would have been this prepared.

 Thanks,

Now I have to really start investigating the sleeve.  I know somethings but was concentrating on RNY.

I am blessed to get this chance.

I too am having a sleeve exactly 2 weeks before you (Optifast next week).  I was told that in terms of the food regiment and time line it's the same as RNY.  The biggest difference is with the sleeve there isn't the malabsorbtion issues.  Best wishes on your journey.  It'll be here before you know it.

Thanks, and good luck to you. Very exciting.
I know the basics about the sleeve.  I just need to have all the after specifics.  I just started to go on the sleeve forum today.

Lol!!  I thought you meant you had "A" date...like with a guy (or girl, which ever)

I couldn't figure out why you would schedule one so far away!!

Dr Reed is a fanstastic surgeon.  Absolutely no sense of humour.  Almost no bedside manner.  But I love him to bits right now.  I'm an RN and when I was talking to the pre-surgical nurse she said that anybody in the medical field that needs surgery always request Dr.  Reed for surgery (he does several other surgeries other than RNY) Take care and who hoo!!!

I have heard great things about Dr. Reed.  He did my scope himself.
Thanks, I'm getting excited now. Its actually going to happen.
