I'm so glad it seems to have gone so well for you.  While I have been very lucky in this respect so far (knock wood) it's good to know there is a treatment that isn't as scary as sounds.  Thanks so much for sharing with us - you are always so brave! 

Jenna, thanks for posting this. It's good to know what worked and what didn't, and what you think brought it all to a head. I very much hope this is the answer for you!

 oh, dear, heal well.  I have had horrible fissures, and hemrroidial banding twice.  I am doing anything I can to avoid any kind of anal surgey (my only next option according to my docs).
