Where can I buy OptiFast?

I saw had my first appointments with the nurse, dietician and social worker at St. Joe's last week.  The dietician told me to start my vitamins now and to start looking for OptiFast and Boost Diabetic or Sugar Free Carnation instant breakfast.  I went to Shopper's Drug Mart and I found the vitamins but they didn't have the Optifast.  I asked the pharmacy tech if they could get it and she said that they couldn't.  I am pretty sure I can get the Boost at walmart but I don't know about the optifast.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get it?  I might just have to buy it from the hospital pharmacy I guess.

I am not sure why she said to start looking for optifast.. the hospital provides that to you. You cannot get it just anywhere, you must have a prescription.. so do not worry about the optifast, when you need they will provide it to you.. but you do have to pay for it, of course!
IN ottawa you can get it from the weight management clinic... I am sure that there is a process in place for your location

I may have misunderstood.  There was so much information being thrown at me, it was just a matter of time before I messed something up.  She did say it was available in the hospital pharmacy but the hospital is 2 hours away from me so I thought I could just get it anywhere.  Thanks for your help :)

I had my surgery at St. Joes.  At one of my appointments with the nut and nurse, they gave me a script for it and I just picked it up.  When you have your next appointment, just ask for the scrit and pick it up that day.  Bring a big bag though...they come in huge boxes :P

Once you get your prescription for Optifast, you can buy it at the drugstore in St-Joes Hospital (on the first floor). 

I couldn't even get my local Shoppers' Drug Mart to order it so you'll have to buy it there. 

I've also had a hard time finding Carnation Sugar Free in Ottawa.  I've been to 4 Walmarts, some Shoppers and Loblaws Superstores with no luck at all.  They carry the yellow box but not the blue box.
