6 net carbs once you deduct the sugar alcohols and stuff...VERY TASTY TREAT!!!!!!!  I love these things.  You can also get the smaller ones at Walmart (15g protein ISOLATE) which are a much more manageable size.

Supreme Protein Voluntary Recall

FOR CONSUMERS ONLY. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO RETAILERS OR WHOLESALERS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- January 22, 2009 – Supreme Protein, Inc. is updating its announcement that it is voluntarily recalling the lots identified below of Supreme Protein® brand Peanut Butter Crunch Bars and Caramel Nut Bars. These bars are being recalled out of an abundance of caution because they contain peanut paste which has the potential of being exposed to Salmonella at the Georgia manufacturing facility that makes this ingredient. Although extensive laboratory testing has indicated no Salmonella contamination to date in any Supreme Protein bars (including the lot #’s listed below), we are taking this step as a precautionary measure to ensure the utmost safety of our products. Supreme Protein, Inc. is voluntarily recalling specific lots of the following products that contain peanut paste manufactured at the Georgia peanut butter plant:

-- Supreme Protein® brand Peanut Butter Crunch Bars (20, 43 and 86 gram sizes)
-- Supreme Protein® brand Caramel Nut Bars (20, 50* and 96 gram sizes)
-- Supreme Protein® brand Caramel Nut (Energy) Bars

Click here for refund request form (MS Excel File)
Both the Ohio manufacturing facility and the peanut paste used in these bars have been tested extensively for the presence of Salmonella and to date, all test results have been negative. In addition, Supreme Protein has not received any consumer complaints of symptoms related to Salmonella.

Supreme Protein requests that consumers check the lot numbers of any of the above-listed products they have purchased. The lot number can be found under the fold on the back of the wrapper of the individual bars and on top of each box of bars. If consumers find that they have these products in their possession marked with any of these specific lot numbers, they are asked not to consume the products. Consumers seeking a replacement or refund for recalled products should visit the company’s website at www.supremeprotein.com. Other lot numbers of Supreme Protein products are not affected by this recall. Supreme Protein intends to update this notice as the situation develops.

Although all of the numerous tests of the peanut paste used in the products have been negative and the company is not aware of any detrimental effects associated with these products, Supreme Protein is taking this extremely conservative position out of an abundance of caution.

People infected with Salmonella can have some or all of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious disease, including headache, joint pain, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.

These products are being removed from retail stores for the time being.

In my Rexall, all the Supreme's were off the shelves but all the PowerBar brand bars are on the same sale. I got a few to try first before dropping more bucks but I just had a PowerBar Triple Threat in the Choc. Caramel Fusion flavour and it was pretty good for 225 cal, 10 g of protein, etc. May have to trot on back there later on today and get others.

The other 2 I grabbed to try have 24g of protein per bar... can I eat one of those at lunch as a meal replacement (I'm trying to drop another 10-15 lbs before surgery mid-March)???

I just found your post while doing a search on this product.  I live in the US and found these bars at my local WAWA convenience mart.  They were $2.79 US for the 96 gr. bar.  How much are they selling for in Canada?

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.
