Hi Nancy. I know you don't know who I am, but I remember this day like it was yesterday. I grew up my whole life knowing Pierre. My parents lived on First street right down the road from Pierre. My buddy Andre and I were very close to him. I remember Andre and I bringing him to hospital once because of withdrawals. He got in right away because my mother works at the hospital. He was treated very quickly and sent home. After Andre and I dropped him off, I remember Andre saying that would be the last time we see him. I get an eery feeling every time I think of that day. My band was leaving on tour the next day, and from my parents house, I could see the corner store taped off with police tape. I'm pretty sure the reason he used your phone so much was to call me. I know you probably won't see this, but if you do, I'm very happy you survived that day, and I hope your family are happy and safe.

Hi Nancy. I've seen this post a few times over the years (though not until 2012 or so) whenever I google my sister Joane, or her killer. I'm very sorry for what you went through. It must have been terrifying! I hope you've had support. Any chance you'd be willing to write a Victim impact statement for the parole board?

Sincerely,

Kathy MacNeill (née Dutrisac)

sorry to comment on this after so long,
joane was my step-brother's aunt.
i remember when it all happened,
i was pretty young, seeing as i'm only fifteen now.
i remember everybody outside the store with candles.

it was definatly a hard time.
and i feel sorry for all the family.
it was hard for me and i'm not even related,
and i remember seeing her kids after all it.
i still see them every once in a while now.
they seem to be doing good.
i'm proud of them.
