Thanks all.

Duover, you're doing great. The journey seemed so insurmountable in the beginning, that I actually thought if I could ever hit a size 12, I would be overjoyed. And I was overjoyed, but realized that I hadn't finished removing the layers hiding the tiny petite person I was born to be.

Merrilee, the worst should be over. Your energy level and stamina should increase as you get back on some solid food. On my journey, I've felt better every day for a year. I had no clue how bad I felt or how far I was removed from the true me.

Amy, you've been inspirational. Thank you. When I met my hubby 33 years ago he weighed 135 (5'10.5") and I weighed 145 (5'.5"). He looked like a concentration camp refugee and I was voluptuous to be charitable. Over the years, he put on 50 # (most of it needed) and I put on 100#. Since my surgery, he's lost about 15# & is what I consider perfect. Sharing his dinner with me when we eat out has been good for him!

Thanks again for the encouragement.

I've slipped into some bad habits that need breaking and I have about 10 lbs I want to get off.  So, I visited with Stephanie at weight wise and bought the stuff needed to do the reboot diet.  I have a big bike ride on Saturday (100 miles!) so I am starting on Sunday.  Its a pretty steep challenge to go back to eating that little but I think I need it to cleanse my body of all the bad carbs and get myself headed back in the right direction.

Anyone want to do it with me?  I could use an accountabiliy buddy.

I fight the same battle you do!  Trust me.  Too bad they can't do surgery on our brains and not just our stomachs! LOL  You are going to do great.  Just focus on making the most of your honey moon period by creating new healthy habits that will last you the rest of your life.  You can do this!

your right I ate out every day before my surgery and candy was an every day thing for me. So this surgery is making me have to learn how to eat again and its not easy. I have to think below the surface of why I want certain things and learn how to stop wanting those things.
