OMG!!! Okay... first... you need a new profile pic.
2nd.... 8lbs from GOAL?!?
3rd.... 222 lb Weight Loss?!?!?!
WOW!!! You are such an inspiration and a motivator, I don't know how I can encourage you, but here goes... Okay, so you had a bad day! GET OVER IT!!! Don't let a bad day become a bad week. Focus on getting in your water, eat your protein first, yada yada, you clearly know the drill!!!
Girl, you have got SOOO much to be proud of! I am soo happy for your success thus far. No, you have not reached your magic number of 158lbs, but you WILL! I know you will! I am in complete admiration of your accomplishments.
Lately, I haven't been as *good* as I should be and I am FEARING the day it catches up with me. Reading your post has really given me a boost to get back on track and stay there. Today was a pretty good diet day for me, even though it wasn't 100%, I am okay.
We know this is a LIFE LONG battle and like I said, we can't let the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months. Tell yourself that you ALLOWED a few splurges and know that it is OKAY, but can not become the habits that brought us in to Dr. B's office to begin with!
I am right there with you girl, just a few steps behind! Hang in there!
And, yes, new clothes always work for me! :)
Hugs!
Angie

Topic: Tough Diet Day!!
Okay I need some encouragement, or a kick in the butt! I did not have a good diet day! Help! I wasn't even able to get any exercise in today. I don't want to beat myself up, but I am. I feel so good about myself when I have done it all the way I am supposed to. Then I mess up, not all that often, and I beat myself up about it. What are some things I can do to make it all better! I need some get on track suggestions.
I am about eight pounds from my goal weight of 158, that is 222 pound weight loss. So, I am not gripping. But, will I make it? I always try to stay so positive about it, but today has got me down. Maybe it is just the weather? Maybe I just need some new clothes?

Congratulations, hope everything goes well for you. You will be in great hands with Dr. Sawan and everybody at Summit Medical are the GREATEST!!! Won't kid you, there is pain involved but it wasn't near as bad as I expected, so you'll do great. Don't forget the LORTAB. So enjoy your dance, I know how you feel.

I am officially scheduled for a tummy tuck with Dr. Sawan! I am so excited! I will get my new flat tummy on Dec. 12. Debtfree has paved the way for me. I have big shoes to follow in terms of how well she has healed and returned to activities.
I will post as I recover! Happy dance over here at my house!

What is the reboot diet - something like the 5 day pouch test or the plateau busters ?
- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.

That is awesome about your wife! My husband is down 85 lbs now and looking great too. It really is nice to have both of us on the same page. I'm sorry about your shoulder surgery. Surgeries are only fun when they are making us look better! ha ha!!

Topic: RE: 1st Anniversary
Thank you, Moto. This year has gone really fast. I still feel like it was a miracle. I'm happy to know that I could inspire someone. I'm also thrilled to report that my step sons have both been inspired to lose weight on their on own, which was much needed. The oldest may wind up having surgery, too, but for now I'm just glad to see them acknowledging that they have a problem.
Thanks again,
Lois

Thanks Jenny. You'll be there before you know it. I may always shop consignment stores now that I've gotten the hang of it. Of course, I've also begun to shop for brand new sales clothes or at discount stores. It's kind of fun. I used to think I hated shopping.
Best wishes on the rest of your journey.
