Yes, this site used to be so much more active.  I guess as we all got a little farther out we quit coming to the site and began living live.

Yes, slipping is unfortunately a part of my life now.  I am already scheduled with Sawan for a tummy tuck- next week on the 9th.  I am finding myself making better choices since I actually got a surgery date.  You are so right-- inactivity and poor choices got us in trouble in the first place.  I need to redouble my efforts to get as healthy as humanly possible!

Let's hold each other accountable!  Who is in for the challenge?
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

So I saw an earlier post about how someone wished this forum was used more... and I thought to myself... YES! I wish the same thing! Then I started reading about the "reboot" program offered at WeightWise and again I thought to myself... YES! that is what I need. So I promptly called and left a message for Chris.

Now then... what's going on that made me re-visit this site almost 2 and a half years after surgery? Plastic Surgery. A 360 body lift to be exact. I made the appointment with Sawan and paid the man and now I am just waiting for the day... but as I wait I think "gee, I hope I am eating properly." (Pause to open the bag of chips that I procured for my lunch) Hence, the visit to OH.

OK, so maybe I haven't been as faithful to myself (and my new arms...and boobs...and future flat tummy) as I should be.... RIGHT.... so I guess its time to unentangle myself from my Snuggie, give all the Dr. Pepper away to the neighbors and remove the left-over Halloween and Thanksgiving splendor that I have squirrled away.

But seriously, how can I go through surgery and all that pain and just sit there on the couch like a bump on a pickle? Waiting to "start" a new "lifestyle change" is exactly how I got into this mess to begin with!!!! So OMG THIS will NEVER do! I keep thinking "What a fine mess you've gotten yourself into here.... just weeks away from surgery and NOW you decide that you need to quit being a slug?" AHHHHHH so I am just sitting here contemplating whether to start some crazy "reboot" diet now or wait until Chris calls and gives me the 411 (and probably drains my bank account with all those supplements).

Anyhoo, sorry for the rant.... that wasn't what I was getting at here... the point is that this forum was at one time a meca for all things weight loss related... and now... its just me... rambling. So I pose a question to all you dedicated readers:

How long has it been since you reviewed your daily diet? Have you slipped and fallen? Are you trying to get up? What works for you when you need that extra little push? Come one guys, lets talk weight loss here... lets get this forum up and running with the most useful and interesting thoughts!

I just passed my 2 year "surgiversary" and I'm just so happy.
I've lost more weight than I hoped for and I feel wonderful!  I had the sleeve procedure and have had absolutely no complications.  I just pray that I can stay where I'm at right now... I wouldn't even mind gaining a few pounds.  I am 5'6" tall and now wear a size 4.  I have so much more energy since I'm not lugging around 100 extra pounds!
Good luck to everybody on their own weight loss journeys!!!

2-2 1/2 years ago, this used to be a VERY active board, but then people just started drifting away.  I'd like to see it start hopping again, myself.  I am not in Tulsa, but I could offer support on here :)

I really would like to connect with other WLS patients in this area. I had my surgery in Mexico so I don't have any local support group. I would be willing to plan something and get it going if anyone is interested. Of course I don't know how to go about an agenda, but I figure if we get together we will be discussing our common issues and helping each other stay on track. I am in Tulsa and Saturday afternoons are the best time for me to meet with others. Lets meet in a public place and start from there. If you dont want to post on the message board you can message me. I say we need at least 3 to 4 people to get this started. :) Waiting to hear from you Tulsans!

I threw the names at him too!  You will have me, Denise, and Jay just right before you if you need some advice or help you know who to call.  You have done so wonderful on your journey!  Congratulations!!!  -Amy

Topic: RE: Thanksgiving
I'm having a small bite of stuffing and turkey (no gravy - I've never liked it) some green beans, and a little pumpkin pie filling.  I'm also going over to friends for lunch so no leftovers there.  Later on, I'll have Thanksgiving at my 90 YO mom's house but I'm bringing some veggies.  I'm also bringing stuffing and pumpkin pie but they are store bought and I won't have any.

I am seeing Dr. Sawan on January 3 for a consult!  I have a whole list of names to mention to him!  I can't have the surgery until summer but am going to try to get insurance approval, so that's why I am starting so early!  I am so ready to get rid of some of this skin!  I already had the pannilectomya few years ago, so I don't have the apron anymore, but ewe, I have way tooooooo much skin...however that is to be expected with a 240 lb. weight loss I guess.  I have held steady for the past six  months, and only about 10 lbs down over the past year, but still losing clothes sizes frequently.

I am going to be sure to throw out you guys' names to Dr. Sawan.  I want to look as good as you all do or are going to !
