Let me start by saying I Love Dr. Sawan! He is GREAT with his patients and answers any questions you may have. He did a ROCKIN' job on my body! I had my sleeve on 9/2/09 and my LBL 3/24/11. I did not have anything done with the breasts, but I know he would do great with them as well.

Because of the amount of tissue I had and the fact I already had a vertical scar, he planned to do the incision all the way around and then create a new vertical incision that way he could pull me in on the sides. He kind of seemed to act like there was a little bit more work to be done on me for the LBL than for others that just had the ring around the waist and not the vertical incision as well. Anyways the price for that an all that was involved (including lipo) was just under 12k.

Totally worth it!!!

I love him and Summit Medical Center where he did the operation!

Best of luck to you!
~Angie

Topic: Plastics...Dr. Sawan?
Hey everyone.
I have been lurking here for a while and am pretty new to Oklahoma and had a question about Plastics. I had surger 2-9-10 and was starting to research plastics. I am not going to have them done right now but wanted to get information. I will start with some background. I am 27 yrs old, 5'5" tall, Starting weight 296 current weight 143, Starting pant size 26 current size 8 and Size 8 dress. I still might want to lose about 7 pounds to get to 135, but not sure yet. I am going to want a lower body lift and a breast lift with possible augmentation. I have looked around at surgeons and found
Dr. Sawan and he looks like he knows what he is doing.

My question is for these procedures how much did you pay? I know that everyone pays something different depending on how much work needs to be done and what you are having done but I am just trying to get a ballpark estimate. If anyone could help with this and/or some before and after pics I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for any and all help.

Nathalie

I went to Curves pre-surgery for almost 4 years, I didn't lose any weight, but I felt better and could do more physically.   I think it would be beneficial to anyone.  The main complaint that I hear about Curves is their hours.....if you work, they are only open for a few hours after work and not open at all on weekends.

Call BCBS and talk to them and ask exactly what they need and WRITE it down !!!  I did it over the BCBS website and printed out the conversation that I had with them.....this way I had proof of what had been said.   After you figure out what they need...contact your drs. and get them to send the necessary info.  I had to go through all the nutrition studies and evaluations, and stress test, and sleep apea study, etc.  but it was finally approved.  Took about 8-months from start to surgery date......seemed like forever, but, it was worth it !!!!   Good Luck !!!!

Topic: RE: Has anyone used Dr. Luis V. Gorospe of Tulsa?
I used Dr. Fisher with Surgical Associates and love him.   He was kind and care and has a great staff.  I have a friend who used Dr. Gorospe with no complaints.   I think you have to find the surgeon that you are most comfortable with.  Take your time and check several out.   Good luck with the process.

Topic: RE: Ever had an iron infusion???
I've had a couple and they aren't bad, much better alternative to the stomach upset and constipation from the pills.....I would rather have the infusion anytime.
