Congrats!! That is wonderful! Which surgery did you have if I might ask? I am having RNY next month and can't wait to join you on the loser bench!

Thank you for replying. My daughter just messaged me that she has an appointment with Dr. Warnock from Wichita Falls. If anybody has any personal experience with him, please let me know.

I think I have heard the Lawton folks have gone to a surgeon in Wichita Falls. I cannot remember his name, however. Go over to the surgery specific sites and ask. Someone is sure to give you the guy's name. Good luck.

Congrads Tony. How tall are you by the way. I'm 5' 61/2" and am 170# currently. I'm looking to lose around another 25#. I started at 281# had surgery 10/13/2003 in San Deigo, CA, I got down to 153# then since Jan. went up to 175.5 # due to hand to mouth disease (with food) and illness. When did you have your surgery and how is maintenance going?

Topic: New Orleans
Is anyone in the OK area going to drive down to New Orleans for the OH event? I live in Holdenville, OK and am looking for a ride and room to share. My name is Mary Ward. I'm 57 years old (06/24/1953), married and had RNY surgery 10/13/2003 (starting weight 281 current weight 170) in San Deigo, CA. Dr. Lana Nelson is now my Dr. I would be willing to share fuel and room costs.

I am from Alabama but my daughter lives in the Lawton (Fort Sill) area. She is looking for an experienced surgeon. She is most interested in the lap band but will consider other options depending on experience and success record.
She has tricare insurance. Please recommend doctors in her area - including location and phone number.
Thanks.

Topic: Places of employment that pay for WLS
I'm rather new here and recently found out that my health insurance doesn't pay for any WLS procedures. I was already starting to look for a new career due to my current position being phased out over the next year so I was hoping to get any suggestions from people in the OKC area on where to apply that will also provide WLS benefits? I almost feel bad basing my career search on this but I'm actually a pretty good employee and feel that if nothing else it will be another way to judge one job over another!
Please help if you can!!
Best of luck!
