Hope it went great! I'm just under 2 weeks post-op and it's been a hell of a journey but I really am glad I did it. Do you know which surgery you might be considering?

I made an appointment to see Dr. Broussard on Aug 4.  I am a bad WLS patient!  I had surgery almost 3 years ago and have never had my vitamin levels checked! 

On that Aug 4 appointment, I'm going to talk to Dr. B about the "restart" program, get my bloodwork done, see the dietician, and exercise expert! 

I hope Dr. B isn't too mad at me for neglecting my health for so long and not seeing him any more regularly :-(

I have heard great things about Weightwise also.  I chose Journey Clinic because I have had 3 friends that had surgery performed by Dr. Nelson.  They all had wonderful things to say about her.  Plus since I live in Norman, I really liked the convenience of the location of the office and the surgery being done at Norman Regional.  I don't think you could go wrong with either place.

They arranged all of my appointments.  I didn't have any problems with my insurance approval and they took care of everything.  I am having RNY gastric bypass surgery.  I am looking forward to this whole journey and I feel well prepared.   Keep us updated on your journey.

Good luck on your journey!  I started mine in August of last year when I first started thinking about surgery and began reading everything I could find.  It was March of this year before I finally made an appointment at Journey Clinic in Moore.  After several nutritionist visits, doctor visits, tests, and support group meetings, I finally completed the insurance requirements and was approved in mid-June. 

I am scheduled for surgery next Tuesday and I can't wait!!  Anxious and excited!!

I have pretty much decided I'm taking off work early on Thursday and driving to Edmond to the support group...  I wonder if I will see any familar faces?
