Topic: I need support, encourgement and prayers
I am starting the process for the 5th time. I need help getting through this process again. I am on Medicaid so It will be a long drawn out process just to find out if I qualify. I joined weigh****chers because it is required to have a supervised diet plan. I figure after 6 months on ww i will really be ready for the wls. anyone else done ww? I am walking as much as I can, but its hard to do because of the weight and cronic pain. right now I am not sure how much I weigh but i know its over 400# , I am hoping the scales at ww will be able to weigh me. my first meeting is wed. Please pray for me

hi I am here.. well somedays.. I am restarting the process AGAIN. I need prayers that it wall goes according to Medicaids requirements, if so I should be ready to have surgery in about 6 months.

It's a new week and only October 2nd but I have received my Christmas present early. My mother was one of 14 children, 10 of them had Early Onset Alzheimers Disease. Children of an affected parent have a 50/50 chance of inheriting this gene. 3 weeks ago I had the opportunity to receive genetic counseling and testing for Presenilin 2, the gene attributed to my family's Alzheimers. On Thursday my geneticist called with the results. I DO NOT carry the marker for this gene, meaning my children won't have it either. I am rejoicing for us even as my heart pleads for a cure. Many of my cousins and their children have the disease and so far 2 of my siblings and a nephew carry the marker for the gene.
It gives me a lot more to be thankful for and a new reason to get healthy. Hope you all have an AWESOME week

FRIDAY!!!! Yes! It's been a good week and I am looking forward to the weekend. I have lots to get done so I should be too busy to eat bad things :)

Hope everyone had a great day. It's weigh in day, I lost 0.4, not much but any loss is a good loss :)
I am looking forward to the weekend. Grocery shopping will be very controlled, no bad stuff, only good stuff. Now if I can get my DH to cooperate in that department, I've got it made!

Thanks Brittany, it's so nice to be back on OH where people understand what I'm going through.
I had a good day food wise, kept calories down and water up. The only thing is I have had terrible reflux all day, even when all I had was water. I have tried pepcid but the acid is just burning my throat constantly. It actually started last night, I had to sleep in the recliner all night. Maybe it's my body's way of saying I shouldn't eat anything! :)

Thanks. I understand and totally agree with what you said. It is all about accountability. I hope I remain focus also. I just want to see my son grow up. That is my main goal.
