Topic: Paperwork submitted to insurance...
It has only been a week since Weight Wise submitted my paperwork for approval. I called my insurance company today and they said I should hear something by Wednesday for sure. This seems longer than the 6 month supervised diet!!!!!!!!! I have got to find something to occupy my time ! lol  Hope everyone has a great weekend !!

It does get better!  I found that on different days I needed my drinks to be different temperatures for max intake.  That is when I got hooked on decaf coffee.  For me warm has always gone down better.  Experiment with cold, cool, lukewarm, and warm drinks.  You might also try a straw.  I know we were all told no straws- ever, but sometimes it does help to keep you from gulping air.  Counter intuitive I know but worth a try.

Hang in there!

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Planning makes a huge difference for me.  I too have allowed too many carbs into my life.  I need to do a sweep of my house and get rid of the crap.  My problem (or am I making excuses?) is that my fiance' can and does eat anything without gaining weight.  He loves sweets and carbs.  I probably need to do the reboot program to get back in control.

I live in OKC- many if not most of our restaurants have viable options for us.  You can do it!!

Topic: RE: STATE EMPLOYEE INSURANCE
The state insurance does not cover anything related to the treatment of obesity- ever.  I even presented to the insurance board, with piles and piles of research supporting the surgeries, all to no avail. I pointed out that they were indeed paying for obesity related problems- BP, stroke, diabetes, joint replacememts, etc so why not pay for the treatment and avoid the complications of obesity.  I was a self pay.

I have no idea what they would do if the surgery was for reflux.  I doubt they would cover it for that either.  I had been on treatment for GERD for years and it made no difference.

State has their heads up their rear ends in my opinion.

Yay! It's Sunday! I'm going to try to keep my carb intake in check this week. My gallbladder is coming out Friday (happy birthday to me! ha!) at Deaconess so I'll hopefully not want to eat anything for a day or so after that lol. I'm losing, although I really don't know how, but it's definitely getting a tad slower.

Have a great week and I can't wait to hear about it!

Topic: Another week................
So here we are on Sunday again, survived another week. I gained weight, I know what my problem is and just need to find the solution, in the mean time, I will remember I'm too Blessed to be stressed or depressed :)
My goal for the week is too know what I'm going to eat every day so I don't have to grab something on the go. The last 3 days of my week will be spent in OKC so I will have to included restaurant meals. I am also planning to exercise as many days as possible, 20-30 minutes a day, nothing unreasonable.
Have a great week everyone!
