Topic: Consult tomorrow!
It's almost midnight and I can't sleep!!! It's just a consult, I've got six weeks until surgery, but I'm so excited!

I've mentioned before that my doc is in Little Rock, AR, so I've got a bit of a drive. My appointment is at 1:30, so my morning is going to start early. I'm doing my best to try and wind down, but this feels like the day before Christmas.

I have so many questions for him, and I can't wait to see if he's as gruff as he seemed at his seminar. The nurse that called earlier today to go over some pre-appointment questions with me said he's a bit like a school principal visiting with a student who got a bad report card. I don't care, he can be fussy if he wants...I was raised with grumpy men.

Happy Wednesday everyone. :)

Topic: RE: Killing Carbs
Here's my favorite day:

Breakfast
1 egg omelette with 2-3tbsp of 2% cheddar.  Use the good eggs like free range with omega-3.
2 slices of center cut bacon (2 of these slices = 1 slice of regular bacon).  Center cut has MUCH less fat.

Lunch
A protein bar (Detour from Sam's is my fav...tastes like Snickers)
or
Leftover taco meat with cheese, sour cream, salsa.  Basic tacos without the shell.  About 1 cup worth.

Dinner
Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia fillet topped with good spagetti sauce and lowfat mozarella cheese

Late night
1 cup of fiber yogurt (Yoplait Honey Vanilla my fav)

Thanks for all the support and advice for the previous For the Post-Ops post! So here we go! A suggestion was to be more accountable and this is my attempt. I will be here to complain, rant, rave, be happy, rejoice, etc. on a more-daily (that would be mostly daily) basis. So as my first topic of inquiry: WHAT DO YOU EAT ON A DAILY BASIS? I need ideas people. I lived on chicken and cheese for about a year so any ideas on no-carb eating would be appreciated!

Topic: RE: Which Insurance
Thank you for the lead. I had no idea that they didn't do DS in Oklahoma... I will send him the companines and of course tell him to contact the commission. He will wait the ammount of time he needs to to get the surgery done. I know that sometimes you need to wait like a year and he is willing to do that. He just needs a push in the right direction of an insurance company.

Thank you for all of your help.

Nathalie

first ds is not allowed in this state..rather its insurance reasons or state politics.
as far as what companies pay atnea pacificare blue cross etc..the thing is if its in the policy...some companies will not pay for wls right after getting the policy..best thingto do is call the insurance commission of Oklahoma and see what they can tell ya

My siuster had lung cancer a year ago and she has a hernia....its the fascia that tears and causes this...was told today exactly what has happened to me and I am now more so in control then before. THANK GOD FOR DOCTOR CYNTHIA NYDICK!!!
she took the timer and drew out what happened and told me would do some research and see what she can do for me. Her biggest point that hit home is for me to get back to walking and doing my bands...
Complications can happen thats the whole point of this posting. People who go in thinking that the simplest procedure can not have complications need to know...that they do happen.
I normally dont vent but in the loast few months it feels good to let the steam off...
Hope your and I pray your sister is doing fine.
