I wish I lived closer as I would love to have a group to go walking with (I usually walk with the baby or by myself).  If I'm ever in OKC on Saturday, I'd love to join you.  Keep us posted on the times and such :)

I'd be up for it. I'm a bit slow in my pre-op state but surgery is on Monday so I should be getting lighter on my joints soon and will need to walk more often anyways.

My jogging is going ok! I ran last night when I got home...took my min schnauzer along and he loved it.
I am running on the treadmill here at work today right before I go home....so, staying on track.

Thanks for the encouragement! How are you doing on your jogging? I read your post yesterday and it seems you are doing great!

I don't live in OKC area, but could probably join you once or twice a month on a Saturday. If the group makes, please post when and where. Thanks for the invite.

If I lived closer I totally would!

I would LOVE to walk with someone!

I hope you have people that will join you! It's always so much more fun with others. If not, then take your ipod and enjoy your tunes!!

I know this topci has been visited before...but, is there anyone who would be interested in starting a walking group now that the weather will be getting warmer?
Would any of you like to walk at Lake Hefner or somewhere else in OKC one-two times per week? Perhaps one evening and then a Sat morning? Maybe top off the Sat morning with a decaf coffee somewhere and get to know each other!

Thoughts?

I work for a doctor, and however we are suppose to act, the patient isn't  always right however thats my two cents.  I would not go out of state. Call Dr. Gornichec's office.  I had my lapband proformed by him and I like him and his staff.  They are always there for me and I am one of those who ask alot of questions more than once. He is located at Intergist  Baptist Hospital.  They are really careful and go over everything, give you books to keep track of your progress whi*****ludes all the info you need.  He also has CDs you watch at home.  I have been very happy with Dr. G plus he has a great staff of nurses and  nutritinist to help with after care. Good luck in your discision.

Mine was $12,500 but there were a few other expenses not covered  in this fee. I had surgery in 9-09 and it was the BEST money I ever spent. You are in wonderful hands and that is PRICELESS!  I would not hesitate to have the surgery again and I am 6 months out and down 60 lbs with 15-20 more til goal! I am in the healthcare field and consider this a top notch facility with the Best physicians.
