I adhere to the no carb diet :) If I don't eat carbs, I don't crave carbs. If I do eat them, I immediately get cravings again and feel like crap.
I love the energy I have on the no carb plan, and I find it just isn't worth adding them back to my diet, now that the habit is gone. Very few of them will taste as good as I remember them, and at 51 I know this is my opportunity to be healthy for life and I don't intend to blow it!
Just my $.02.

Hey Debra,
Where do you ride...I LOVE to ride. Took English for a while and looking for a place to take lessons again here in the City.

Pati,
I wont be walking this Saturday as I will be getting ready for support group here in Norman. However, I will be back at Lake Hefner on 3/27 at 0830 on East side of Stars and Stripes. I am hoping it will be warm(er) by then!!!
See you soon, L

Hey girl! Guess what? I got clip in pedals! I'm still scared to go on the pavement so I've been practicing on the trainer. Maybe tonight I will ride in my neighborhood. I'm doing the Oklahoma Freewheel thing so I have to get my miles up there. I got MB clips because they said they are easier to clip out of and I was worried about feeling stuck and not being able to get loose.

I'm in I need to lose mode again-and when that happens-I get all the cruddy stuff out of the house. I can't have it here and expect to do well.
I'm hoping I can begin riding again soon-I'm still a bit gimpy and I want to heal before I do work out. For me, diet alone cannot do it.

Amen Sister!!
I agree to all of that but what keeps me happy and smiling is that for the first time I feel like I stand a chance battling the food. Before my WLS I just gave into failure. Now I fight it. "I get knocked down, but I get up again" I love that song!
I exercise alot and that keeps me on the wagon. I also track my calories on living strong/daily plate. I know that carbs don't make me fat. More calories in than burned off make me fat. Carbs however create bad cravings which make me eat more so I limit them. I know my calorie burn and I stick with it Mon-Fri. (Sat and Sun I cheat a bit) For me when I was subscribing to the eat only 3 times and only eat protien plan I felt like a failure because I couldn't stick to it. Now that I eat whatever I want as long as I track it, I don't have the guilt or the feeling of falling off the wagon. That is just what works for me and I have been doing that for a year now and have lost 55 lbs since this time last year.
