Topic: RE: Soooo ready!!
I had a burning pulling sensation at the main incision site and was sort of hunched over, as if I was pulled into myself. I had on the abdominal binder for at least 2 weeks and was REALLY glad that I did so that my fat didn't pull even more on my incisions.

My shoulders and neck were sore from supporting and using them instead of binding and using my abs for a week or so until I started using my abs again.

I didn't take my pain meds after the second day I was home because I didn't like the tired feeling that I from taking it. Once the anasthea (sp) was out of my system and the morphine I felt 100% better! I had more energy and my head was finally cleared and no longer had that throbbing pain.

Know that everyone is different. But hang in there and it will pass. I think once I saw the scale moving and losing weight (even water weight! hehe) it was AWSOME!! hehe

wow...I hate it to but willing to give that a try! Along with hot sauce..hahaha...kidding....maybe.  Drinking liquids are definatly different than solids.  I can tell with Jello.  Monday is my post op diet class where I am assuming there will be major discussion about stage two the 2nd and 3rd week of  soft proteins.  Thanks for the tip on the egg!     ;)

Lots of people puke up that first egg because they go too fast so just remember to go painfully slow.  That's what I did and I was fine.  I never threw up until about a month ago actually.  I just ate small bites and slow, pausing see how I felt between each bite.  Just a few more days!!! Let us know how heavenly that first egg tastes.  One thing someone on this board told me (Anna) was to put a tablespoon of cottageg cheese when I scramble my egg.  I hate cottage cheese but this idea was brilliant. It kept the egg soft and creamy and didn't taste like cottage cheese plus added some extra protien.

Thanks for the helpful hints.  I feel like I should be able to do more being thinner, but I am still not strong at all.  I do get quite a bit of exercise at work but doing the actual work-out deal is definitely different.  I'm trying to make it a habit now.  Melissa and I went Tues, Thurs and we're supposed to go today but we'll see what happens.  Baby steps for me.  I also wanted to tell you that I am also working on reducing my debt like we had talked about in the past.  It is a slow process but I'm going to keep at it until I can also say that we are debt free too!!

Take care and keep in touch.

Kim

I just have a few more days.  Wesnesday I can start on soft Protiens.  Cant wait for some scrambled eggs. This morning after shoveling snow for an hour and a half I enjoyed some hot sauce in the boulion.  Not bad I might add. well off to relax for the rest of the day... ;) I hope!

Topic: Support Group Norman Reg Hosp this morning, cancelled
All, Due to the weather and road conditions (which they say will only get worse rapidly)...I am cancelling this morning's meeting.
We will cover the topic "All about Hair" at next months meeting.

Stay safe this weekend everyone!
