I see Dr. C. Kathuria at Omni @ 81st and Memorial. I was holding my breath when I approached the subject with her, as my two previous physicians had basically poo poo'd the idea. Anyway, when I brought it up, she seemed thrilled about it. She said it would be great for me and that she even had another patient that had RNY and is doing very well. She's a very attentive PCP as well.

Not to intrude on your thread but I can tell you everyone has to fall once I think in the learning process. I came to a stop once and forgot I was "clipped in" Fell in slow motion as I was talking to a friend. Later, though ,you will love how much nicer they are to your toes on long rides and you get more upstroke power.
After I have my surgery, I hope to get back on my bike. Maybe we can organize an OH ride ;-)

Not this year, but doggy relatives from all over the country-so I'm stoked. I practiced one foot at at time-did you get SPD's or eggbeaters or what? SPDS are more mountain bikey-but you can actually ride them unclipped if you get spooked.

cool! Do you have a dog in the show?
Okay this is totally off the subject but I just took a spill in the driveway trying to get used to clipping out. cut my leg, bruised my butt and ego. I have only been practicing for three days so hopefully I get the hang of this soon.

AKC Agility Nationals are in Tulsa this weekend. If you want to get out and walk around and seem some fast well trained dogs-you might stop in.

Dr. Cynthia Maloy with Omni Medical in Owasso. She has been very supportive of me prior to the surgery and after. She didn't even have a problem with me going out of the country to do my surgery. I would highly recommend her.

Lots of people puke up that first egg because they go too fast so just remember to go painfully slow. That's what I did and I was fine. I never threw up until about a month ago actually. I just ate small bites and slow, pausing see how I felt between each bite. Just a few more days!!! Let us know how heavenly that first egg tastes. One thing someone on this board told me (Anna) was to put a tablespoon of cottageg cheese when I scramble my egg. I hate cottage cheese but this idea was brilliant. It kept the egg soft and creamy and didn't taste like cottage cheese plus added some extra protien.
