We are all there with you.  I understand what you are saying.  After some clothes shopping this last weekend I decided that I am going to have to accept my body the way it is, do the best I can wtih what I have and just let some of the flaws show.  We did not have perfect bodies when we started this and we still do not have perfect bodies.  But I really like this new body better with all the flaws.  Do whatever you are most comfortable with and we will all be cheering you on in the back ground.  I have watched you be an inspiration to all of us the last year and I thank you.

Dress in something comfortable, and the way you usually dress to run. If you have undergarments that will help keep your jigglybits in place, wear 'em. You might feel more comfortable just by doing that.  Good luck with your interview, and just know you're gonna be beautiful no matter what you wear.

Dr. B would not like me saying this but I couldn't take those stupid things either. I took the flinstones gummy vitamins for the first month or so.  I ended up getting permission from Dr. B  to take a small multi vitamin from Walgreens.  I just got a multi vitamin with iron that was small so swallowing wasn't an issue.

Woo-hoo!!!!!!  I'm so excited for you.  Everytime I see someone post this I am flooded back with the emotions that I felt back in 2008 when I got my surgery.  Your life is going to change in ways you never even imagined.  It is so worth it!!

Okay, so I was on the news a couple of weeks ago.  I went to give a talk in Edmond at the women's networking breakfast and the news showed up.  I was trying not to freak out! LOL  They wanted to interview me because it has been 15 years since the bombing and since I am a survivor they wanted to see how my life had changed.

They ended up focusing on my healthy life style and the weight loss.  I told them about the weight loss surgery because I have never hidden it from anyone and want to help spread the good word and hopefully change the minds of the close minded folks.

So, the deal is that they want to do a follow up interview with me tomorrow morning and take some video of me running because they talked about me training for the half marathon in their last story.  Okay - I know y'all know what I'm saying when I say, "it ain't pretty".  I have loose skin in places I never imagined that flap in the wind when I run.

This is silly but I don't know if I should show up in my regular running attire, shorts and short sleeve shirt or if I should pretend that I thought it was going to be cold and wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants.  Do I just hold my head high and hopefully send a message that if I can run with ugly legs (including an ugly scar) plus run as slow as I do, that anyone can do it?  Or should I try dress as slimming as possible.  This is so stupid, I can't believe I am posting this out here but I know this is a safe place because y'all understand these weird issues.

Thanks for listening if you made it through all of this and thanks for your input!
